Where your two-cents are valued the most.

PENNY BEERS?!?!?!?!

WHAT?!

NO WAY!

I had to check this out myself and ladies and gentleman it does exist!
With a small catch of course.. ok, ok there's more then one catch, but here's the
deal. The Sandbar Bar and Grill located in Coconut Grove hosts this
“Penny Beer” fiasco every Wednesday. What reels people in is the
whole 'paying for a brew with just a penny' pitch. Automatically, you rush to find
the spare change in that dusty piggy bank you've had since you were
twelve, and begin plotting on how you'll rob The Sandbar blind!

That is, until you finally arrive and are faced with: the catch.

First catch is that you can only drink Icehouse beer..

On top of that, you can only scoop 3 beers PER VISIT, and If you think you're slick with a crispy dollar bill, you're not. One dollar only gets you 3 beers as well.

The crowding at the bar for a penny beer is sort of a hassle so,
of course, they are going to give you an alternative. How about a tray
of 15 brews for 10 bucks? Hey it beats the wait and isnt a bad deal if
you have a group of friends with you pitching in!

Five trays later and we now have a great night. The crowd was mostly college
students and  the vibe is pretty chill with the DJ mixing house and
hip hop all night. All in all “Penny Beer” night is a great event to
attend. Unfortunately the bouncer denied my bulky Nikon D90 and had to
deal with Iphone Photos.

Pay a visit next Wednesday and witness a good time.

The New 7 Wonders of Nature

The New 7 Wonders of Nature

New7Wonders.com launched a worldwide poll two years ago looking for the new 7 natural wonders of the world. Today, November 11, 2011, the voting ended and the provisional winners have been announced!
(In alphabetical order.)

The Amazon (Mostly Brazil & Peru)

The Amazon river runs 4,000 miles from the Andes to the sea, and is longer than any river but the Nile. This region includes territory belonging to nine nations. The majority of the forest is contained within Brazil, with 60% of the rainforest, followed by Peru with 13%, and with minor amounts in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and France (French Guiana). The vast Amazon basin covers more than two and a half million square miles, more than any other rainforest.

Halong Bay (Halong Bay, Vietnam)

Halong Bay is the stuff of myths and naturally the Vietnamese have concocted one. Halong translates as ‘where the dragon descends into the sea’. Legend has it that the islands of Halong Bay were created by a great dragon that lived in the mountains. As it charged towards the coast, its flailing tail gouged out valleys and crevasses. When it finally plunged into the sea, the area filled with water, leaving only the pinnacles visible.

Iguazu Falls (Argentina & Brazil)

Taller than Niagara Falls, twice as wide with 275 cascades spread in a horsehoe shape over nearly two miles of the Iguazu River, IguazĂș Falls are the result of a volcanic eruption which left yet another large crack in the earth. During the rainy season of November - March, the rate of flow of water going over the falls may reach 450,000 cubic feet (12,750 cubic m) per second.

Jeju Island (Jeju-do, South Korea)

Located southwest of the Korean Peninsula, Jejudo Island is a volcanic island in the shape of an oval that measures 73km from west to east, and 31km from north to south. Wind from the ocean blows steadily throughout the year and past volcanic activity has littered the island with an assortment of beautiful and unusually-shaped black rocks. The island’s reputation of having an abundance of women points back to the time when fishing was the primary means of income and many men were lost at sea.

Komodo (Lesser Sunda Islands, Indonesia)

These volcanic islands are inhabited by a population of around 5,700 giant lizards, whose appearance and aggressive behaviour have led to them being called 'Komodo dragons'. They exist nowhere else in the world and are of great interest to scientists studying the theory of evolution. The rugged hillsides of dry savannah and pockets of thorny green vegetation contrast starkly with the brilliant white sandy beaches and the blue waters surging over coral.

Puerto Princesa Underground River (Palawan, Philippines)

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is one of the most important biodiversity conservation areas of the Philippines. It features a spectacular limestone or karst landscape that contains an 8.2 km long underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it flows directly into the sea, and the lower half portion of the river is brackish and subject to tidal influence. The area also represents significant habitat for biodiversity conservation. It contains a full mountain to the sea ecosystem and protects forests, which are among the most significant in Asia.

Table Mountain (Cape Town, South Africa)

Situated at the south-western tip of Africa, the Table Mountain National Park encompasses the incredibly scenic Table Mountain Chain stretching from Signal Hill in the north to Cape Point in the south and the seas and coastline of the peninsula. The narrow finger of land with its beautiful valleys, bays and beaches is surrounded by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the west and the warmer waters of False Bay and has within its boundaries two world-renowned landmarks - majestic Table Mountain and the legendary Cape of Good Hope.

Dude, Where's my VAN!?: Thanking the shoezen one..

Dude, Where's my VAN!?: Thanking the shoezen one..

The FAL fam loves having their fair share of (though falsely used as of late by duck ass niggas), Swag. More than often we push the limits allowing textiles and textures to fornicate and create what the confused mind of the 80% consider, avante garde. It’s no secret that a vibing fit is incomplete w/o SOLE, let’s face it sneakers could serve as that extra pinch of mescaline that'll have niggas wide eyed breaking necks in a fucking daze, while they watch you moon walking with Jesus. Relax I’m catholic. Today I grow my beard out (Jew ref) to the passing of a gentlemen that in this pass few yrs more than others have blessed the likes of many with sole Sir James Van Doren The father/creator of Vans. Below is a shrine accompanied by a bio of the late great. The FAL fam has their own unique taste but we seem to find middle ground under the idea that vans go hard, whether it be Takashi's, Off the wall, Vaults, Sk8 hi's, or Half Cab we been rockin' since two way pagers was poppin' so we pay homage to a man that added a lil seasoning to the FAL stew.
With his brother Paul and two others, Van Doren started the Van Doren Rubber Co. in 1966. Based in Anaheim, Calif., it made rubber-soled canvas leisure shoes.
Not long afterward, the company developed an especially high-grip shoe, conceived as a boat shoe that would hold the wearer firmly to a pitching deck.
Van Doren collaborated with a chemist to develop the rubber recipe used in the sole. A mechanical engineer by training, he also devised its characteristic tread pattern: diamonds interrupted by a band of tiny six-pointed stars at the ball of the foot. Together, rubber and tread made the sole clingy.
What the company had not foreseen was that in Southern California, pitching decks also were found on skateboards.
Embraced by West Coast skateboarders in the 1970s and afterward, the shoes helped their wearers avoid the fate of Icarus as they performed aerial moves that put the feet well above the head.
The shoes — and the company — became known in popular parlance simply as Vans.
Van Doren died on Oct. 12 at his home in Fullerton, Calif. He was 72. The official cause of death Cancer although the news of his passing was not released publicly until early November.
Death seemed to be a central theme this week, The Fam also pays homage with an honorable mention to the following icons.
Dwight “Heavy D.” Arrington *HipHop Legend* (May 24, 1967 – November 8, 2011)
Joseph “Joe Frazier” Williams *Boxing Great* (January 12, 1944 – November 7, 2011)
William “Bill Keane”Aloysius *World renowned Cartoonist* (October 5, 1922 – November 8, 2011)

1+1=11 ?

1+1=11 ?

As we all know today is "11/11/11"

I couldn't help but feel inspired to touch on this subject

for the simple fact that everyone appears to be overly

obsessed with the date!

The media is an influential motherfucker!

Makes me wonder,

have media networks teamed up to feed this bullshit,

or are people truly fascinated by the date.

Whatever the case is,

I feel, its just a bullshit number and 24hours from the date it'll be 111211

so whats the big deal?!

Ive even heard people on tv say " this day will never happen again!", But..

I could've sworn

that every day is as new and original, as a snowflake and never repeats itself.

Could it be that we're are just infatuated with the attractive appeal of the repetitive "1's"?

It's funny; I always catch the time on my phone at 11:11

so what does that mean?

Its either im craving breakfast while at work or im sleepy as shit!..

Depending if there's an "a.m" or "p.m" behind the time..

Ultimate Escape from Reality, in Reality: The John Muir Trail

Ultimate Escape from Reality, in Reality: The John Muir Trail

Most people think that "escaping reality" is synonymous with taking a drug, in this case, we aren't talking about snorting trails of coke. This trail can be totally drug free, and consists of a 211 mile hike through California's Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, the trail is named after naturalist, and early advocate of wildlife preservation, John Muir.

The John Muir trail passes through 6 of 7 ecological zones in North America. The environment changes from near sea level to over 13,000ft in elevation; from the ferociously hot deserts of Southern California, to the temperate rain forests of the Pacific North-West. There is an incredible amount of biodiversity packed in this 211 mile long area, and post-card worthy scenery everywhere you look. Hiking the entire trail may take anywhere from 3-4 weeks depending on how many miles you hike a day. The fastest recorded time as of 2007 was placed by Michael Popov, who completed the trail in 4 days.

Why is this the ultimate escape? Well, when you’re walking along those trails in the middle of nowhere, your mind is receptive to thoughts you don't normally have while living in your regular routine. Your brain is totally disconnected from that job and that class you have to go to at 9 in the morning. Instead your only worries are whether or not you brought enough memory cards to fill up with tangible memories of an extraordinary adventure.

MDMA vs Meow Meow

MDMA vs Meow Meow

"Naw I only fucks wit that MOLLY"
"...pure MDMA, I'm sick of those monkeys"
"After the transformers, everything's been garbage, so I only get that Molly"
Miami has a unique demographic.
Due to mass tourism, immigration and many other variables, the people in Miami,
I have to say, are one of kind!
We seem to be a melting pot of the whole world!
With that being said, it is obvious that we adopt each others lifestyle,
but is this a positive or a negative outcome?
The Ultra Music Festival is one of those marquee events
that accelerates the pace of Miami for a good month and change!
I don't like to point my finger at any specific variable but, intoxicants are definitely the reason for that..
Ultra brings many psychedelics into Miami..
some leave..
some stay...
Meow Meow
is one of the few that STAY!
and if a drug is STUCK, that means it should be
NO GOOD!
Good drugs GO and they GO FAST!
Now, I personally have nothing against Meow Meow..
But what I do have against it, is its ability to get confused (whether purposely or not)
with yummy MDMA powder!

Mephedrone, also known as 4-methylmethcathinone (4-MMC), or 4-methylephedrone, is a synthetic stimulant and entactogen drug of the amphetamine and cathinone classes. Slang names include meph,[5] drone,[6] and MCAT.[7] It is reportedly manufactured in China and is chemically similar to the cathinone compounds found in the khat plant of eastern Africa. It comes in the form of tablets or a powder, which users can swallow, snort or inject, producing similar effects to MDMA, amphetamines, and cocaine.

First RED flag I see here is "Manufactured in China". Does this not smell like some sort of covert biological warfare? I mean, why would you create a substance that is said  to cause euphoria, stimulation, an enhanced appreciation for music, an elevated mood, decreased hostility, improved mental function and mild sexual stimulation in a communist country? Its obvious that MeowMeow has a bigger purpose..
Another issue I have with Meow, is its highly addictive quality..
It is said that user feels euphoric for 2 hours tops, but is left with a hunger for more MEOW!
MDMA doesnt DO that to you!
Of course, if youre FEELIN yourself hard as fuck
your going to want some more
BUT
MEOW
is said to be the crack cocaine of Amphetamines!
There's only a couple of tips I have for MDMA connoisseurs
that are worried about gettin JOOKED!
1. If capsules are filled to the TOP, be weary..
         REAL MOLLY                         FAKE MOLLY
a hustler wouldnt want to give you more active MDMA if he doesnt have to!
But someone selling you bullshit wouldnt mind giving you a bigger bang for your buck
2. Taste it first! Dont take it before you taste it!
MDMA has a distinct taste, I describe it as sweet battery acid!
Another thing I noticed is that MDMA..WANTS TO BE INSIDE OF YOU!
Real Mdma feels like its deliberately sliding down your tongue to your throat!
3. MDMA crystals have a better structure that MANY crystal concoctions
the crystals are usually bigger and have hexagonic shapes.
4. Last but not least
BUY A MARKE TESTER
and be
100% SURE!
(BTW this all holds true when referring to "white" mdma compared to the darker/browner mdma)
